Detailed Itinerary
04:00 a.m. – Hotel Pickup in Cusco
We begin the day early with a transfer from your hotel to the train station in Ollantaytambo.
06:00 a.m. – Train to Aguas Calientes
Board a panoramic tourist train with stunning views of the Sacred Valley and cloud forest. The ride lasts approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.
08:00 a.m. – Arrival in Aguas Calientes
A Travel Ruinas representative will be waiting for you. Together, you’ll take the eco-bus up to the Machu Picchu entrance (about 30 minutes).
09:00 a.m. – Guided Tour of Machu Picchu
Enjoy a guided tour of the Inca city (about 2 hours), visiting the main sites such as the Temple of the Sun, Sacred Plaza, and the Intihuatana.
11:00 a.m. – Free Time or Return to Aguas Calientes
Depending on ticket availability, you may explore more on your own or return to the town.
12:30 p.m. – Lunch in Aguas Calientes (optional)
Enjoy local cuisine or explore the town at your own pace.
14:30 p.m. – Return Train to Ollantaytambo
Catch the afternoon train back, where our transport will be waiting for your final transfer.
18:30 p.m. – Arrival in Cusco and Hotel Transfer
End of the tour and return to your accommodation in Cusco.
